Stephen A. Mayo, Esq., our Executive Director, founded ISDLS over fifteen years ago while continuing his career as a practicing attorney and law professor. Since the incorporation of ISDLS in 1993, Steve has dedicated his full-time efforts to ISDLS programming and development. Steve graduated from Louisiana State University in 1968 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and in 1971 with a J.D. in Civil Law and has since practiced law (as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and in private practice) in California, Louisiana, Alaska, and Hawaii. Steve has taught at numerous law schools including Harvard University, Stanford University, Hastings School of Law, Louisiana State University and The University of Hawaii.

Elizabeth Gadbaw, Deputy Program Director, ISDLS India, is responsible for managing and reporting on the ISDLS project in India. Elizabeth received her B.A. in Psychology from Brown University in 2004.

Joshua Shipper, ISDLS Program Associate, is responsible for managing and reporting ISDLS projects in Turkey, Egypt and India. Joshua received a B.A. in American Studies from Pomona College in 2003.
